Early Intermediate

You’ve been playing for a while, and have gotten past the beginner stages.  You’re not having pain from lack of callouses on your fingertips, but you’re stuck musically.  You’ve been playing a lot of the same things over and over.  You’re not sure how to get unstuck.

You probably can play most of primary open string chords and have some facility with barre chords.  Your strumming is fair and you have a few finger picking patterns you can rely on to work through songs that demand it.

You can change chords relatively well, but find the neck of the guitar mysterious and have not mastered the notes on most of the strings.  You know you need to have something to get you over this plateau and are willing to add an introduction to music theory for guitar as a way to do it.
